Bottega Bacur Gin , 1 L
The Bacur Dry Gin is produced by Distilleria Bottega, a family business founded in 1977 by Aldo Bottega and located in Castello Roganzuolo, about 45 kilometers from Venice. Bottega produces a selection of delicate grappas, sparkling wines and liqueurs with refined quality and appearance.
The beautiful, luxurious copper bottle resembles the Belgian Copperhead Gin, an equivalent gin of just as high quality. The botanicals used for the Bacur Dry Gin are relatively simple: juniper and lemon supplemented with sage and myrtle. Sage is often used in Mediterranean cuisine. The botanicals are collected at the foot of the Italian Alps, home to the Bottega Distillery. Upon opening the bottle, your olfactory organ is welcomed by a fresh juniper scent, complemented by the presence of citrus. No perfumed scent, but a pleasant and not too dominant presence. When drunk neat, you can taste a delicious balance between juniper berries and an infusion of herbs and citrus zest. The sage is latent and gives the whole a nice aftertaste.
