Borosicilate glass

The alpina food containers are made of sturdy borosicilate glass. This type of glass is stronger than ordinary glass, has a higher melting point and can therefore withstand heat well. You therefore see that many oven dishes are also made of borosicilate glass. The glass expands less when heated, but also shrinks less when cold. The fresh containers are therefore resistant to minimum temperatures of -40 degrees and maximum temperatures of 300 degrees. Finally, this type of glass is also scratch resistant, they can take a beating and it is lighter than normal glass.

Dishwasher, microwave, freezer and oven safe

Because of the sturdy Borosicilate glass, the alpina food containers are resistant to both heat and cold. You can therefore store them in the freezer, clean them in the dishwasher, heat your food in the dishwasher and even leave them in the oven. Make sure that you do not take the lid with you in the oven. 

Airtight and no leaks

Every fresh container from this alpina 6-piece set is completely airtight. This means that your food will last longer and that food will not just leak out of the storage containers. For example, you can also store soup and cottage cheese in the fresh containers. When you store warm food in the containers, you can open a ventilation flap on the lid. That way, the steam and heat that comes off the food can still escape.
