Kahlua is the original coffee liqueur and it has grown to become the number one selling coffee liqueur in the world. Kahlua was born in the dark mysterious jungles among the Mayan ruins. The Alvarez brothers searched the coffee fields looking to source the richest possible beans. They engaged Senor Blanco to use their beans and initiate the original Kahlua recipe. The formula, many years later (1936) was then perfected by a Chemist named Montalvo Lara to become the Kahlua we know today. It is made from 100% hand picked Arabica coffee beans and locally sourced vanilla, sugar and caramel, together with ultra pure water to brew the coffee and the best batches of alcohol.
